Junior Achievement South Western Ontario Program Feedback

Program Highlights

During the in-class JA Economics for Success program, students used games and multimedia to:

Learn why it’s important to stay in school and explore post-secondary options

Gain an understanding of what life is like after high school

Map their interests, skills, and passions to possible careers

Learn how to network, identify a mentor, and create a strong personal brand

Create a budget to prepare for the financial reality of post-secondary life

Develop strategies that will help them achieve their goals

By the end of the program, students learned how their choices can positively impact their future dreams and outcomes. This will help them set goals, seize opportunities, and create a future that fuels their passions.

With recently enhanced curriculum, these programs continue to be well received by educators, volunteers, and student participants.

“It went over very well and had great engagement from the class. Very much respect all of them and the way they seem to be carrying themselves with positive attitudes and it is very apparent they all are eager to learn! It was an honour to be a part of the program” – JA Volunteer, Gr. 8 Economics for Success Program

“Students’ knowledge of financial realities like wages and budgets increased dramatically!” – JA Teacher, Gr. 8 Economics for Success Program
