2023 Cheque Presentations

The First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) student group at East Elgin Secondary School showcased their new mural in the East Elgin Library Learning Commons to board members Judi Wright and Dave Dykeman. Thanks to donors of the Aylmer Area Community Foundation, the FNMI group received a grant to make their project possible! This stunning mural is approximately 108 sq ft. and done by Michael Cywink, Artist, Curator, Muralist/Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, Manitoulin Island.

  Board member Dave Dykeman, presented a cheque for $650 to the Bayham Historical Society for much needed storage units for their materials.

  Board member Pat Campbell presented a cheque to the Vienna Lions Club for $4338.07 for new chairs in their hall to be able to bring the community together for activities and events.

Grants committee member Dan Axford presented a cheque to the Port Burwell Periscope Playhouse for $4494.98 for a new community project coming very soon!
