The Aylmer Area Community Foundation(AACF) is honouring ‘People Who Make a Difference’ in our community. Area citizens who, through their volunteering, assistance to others, care and promotion of their community have made a difference in the life of this area will be recognized by the Foundation for their generous efforts.
The Foundation is asking for input from local organizations and community members. The awards will be given in conjunction with the Aylmer Area Community Foundation and MainStreet Aylmer’s Christmas lighting of the park in late November.
Award candidates must reside in the AACF area (Town of Aylmer, Township of Malahide and Municipality of Bayham) and must have contributed to organizations/individuals in a significant way within the following areas:

The Volunteer Youth Award-Awarded to a youth up to and including 18 years who has made a significant contribution through their contributions to the community. Nominees can be considered for volunteerism plus leadership, spirit & pride and or individual excellence.
The Family Volunteer Award-Awarded to a family that has made outstanding contributions to the community and has demonstrated consistent caring for the improvement of life in the area.
Corporate Volunteer Award-Community Partner Award-Awarded to a local business or organization for outstanding support and promotion of local volunteerism through corporate culture, activities and/or philanthropic programs.
Helping Hands Award-Awarded to a volunteer who contributes significantly to improving the quality of life for others through hands-on work such as serving meals, driving, care giving or administrative tasks.
Innovative Involvement– Awarded to an individual or organization that successfully engages volunteers in an innovative and creative style.
In the event of equally deserving nominees, more than one award will be presented.
