One Tuesday of the month, organizers welcome Seniors from the community for activities, workshops and snack. It was exciting to see a ‘thank you’ to the Aylmer Area Community Foundation for our People Who Make a Difference awards. Three local families have set up a fund to create a legacy in our community.
Dr. Dennis Boadway- The Boadway Family Fund
Harvey Tribe- The Harvey and Kathleen Tribe Family Fund
Jeff Wiebenga- The Jeff and Nicole Wiebenga Family Fund
Aylmer Area Community Foundation pools charitable gifts in a capital fund to create a lasting legacy for the future of our community. The Foundation grants money to organizations and projects to the Town of Aylmer, Township of Malahide and the Municipality of Bayham.
Creating a “Named Fund” is yet another way to contribute to the Foundation. A fund can be set up and named after an organization or family. By establishing a Family Fund, people have created a legacy to the community on behalf of themselves and their heirs. To establish a Named Fund in honour of a family or organization, a minimum $1,000 is required over 5 years.
We are encouraging other families in the community to set up a named fund.
The East Elgin Community Complex will be running a youth March Break Day Camp from March 14-18, 2016! Join the fun for skating, crafts, games and more. From 8am-5pm Monday to Friday over the March break, children aged 6-12 years old are invited; the cost is only $20/day. Registration in advance is required to the EECC.
